About Me

Lyz Dizon is a contemporary Filipino artist born and raised in Cavite. A whimsical storyteller at heart, she mostly works with acrylic, watercolour, and mixed media to create paintings and illustrations of animals, and sometimes humans, exploring everyday feelings through emotion, wonder, and a little bit of mystery. Her works often create imaginative worlds that feel familiar, playful, and sometimes sentimental.

Art has always been an important part of Lyz’s life, even as her professional journey took her in a very different direction. She is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant, and has learned to embrace both sides of herself rather than choosing between them. She finds a certain harmony in the contrast: precision and imagination, numbers and stories, structure and spontaneity.

Lyz is a proud member of the Sandiwa Artists Group, where she continues to learn, collaborate, and grow within a creative community. Her journey has taken her from sketchbooks and small ideas to exhibitions both in the Philippines and abroad, including the 2025 Philippine Independence Day exhibit at the Siam Kempinski Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, hosted by the Philippine Embassy and Art Show Philippines.

At the heart of Lyz’s work is a simple hope: to make people feel something. Whether it is comfort, nostalgia, joy, or a quiet sense of wonder, she sees art as a way of turning ordinary emotions into little stories and finding a bit of everyday magic along the way.
